The Task Order Project Director/Chief of Party will serve as the main point of contact for task orders, providing vision, technical direction, leadership, and management for the activities. S/he will serve as the Contractor’s primary representative for all task order related issues, concerns, or problems.
S/he will have professional experience in the management of international development activities in/for low and middle-income countries (LMICs), preferably in the area of health system strengthening, and experience working in the field/overseas. The Task Order Project Director will have experience interacting with government or non-governmental organizations including the private sector, in developing countries and experience working in partnership with U.S. Government agencies, international donors, or other multilateral agencies.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in development or related development field, such as Economics, Political science, Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
- Formal training in monitoring and evaluation is preferred.
- At least 10 years of project management experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant prior experience conducting or leading development evaluations and monitoring projects and programs, preferably in Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
- Familiarity with USAID’s objectives, approaches and operations, particularly as they relate to HSS is a plus.
